Disneyland eco-terrorism attempt thwarted by allergies.

In an attempt to express our solidarity with the Blue Toungued Croaking Whirlie Bird, we set out for Disneyland, intent on making the Dumbo ride go backwards. Our attempt, however, was thwarted by an extreme allergy attack, and a mind numbing throng of bourgeois white trash that wouldn't have understood the significance of the act anyway. (Come to think of it, I'm not sure I do.) So, instead, we decided to be the knuckleheads who 'didn't hear' anyone say, "No flash photography, please," when we rode The Pirates of the Caribbean.

Uncle "Scotty Boy" comes to visit.

David's best friend, Scott, came to visit, hailing all the way from Roanoke, VA. The weekend proved adventuresome, with a toy hellicopter being lost to the wilds of the San Francisco roof tops, and the boys' sailing adventure nearly ending in the severing of their boat by one of those careless tankers you've all been hearing so much about lately.

Brenna's class visits Chabot Space & Science Center.

The Convent Kindergartners got to visit the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland. David went along, pretending to chaperone, and managed to get some pictures.

Cub Scouts spend night aboard USS Hornet.

Nicholas' scout troup got to spend the night aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Hornet. The outing included tours of the bridge and Combat Information Center, which was "activated" to simulate WWII battle conditions. We slept the same way the original crew did, with about a foot of space between your nose and the bunk above you!
